Terms of service
Last updated 2026-09-20.
- You keep your content; you give us a narrow licence to run the Service with it.
- Don't post anything you don't have the right to post.
- We can remove content that violates these terms or a copyright claim.
- The Service is provided as-is while we build it — see §6.
1. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Every account is tied to a real email address — see the privacy policy §3 for why, and how sign-in works.
2. Your content and licence to us
You keep ownership of everything you post — photos of your goose, diary entries, fit reports, and anything else. By posting it, you grant Porch Flock a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and back up that content, sublicensable only to the infrastructure providers who run the Service on our behalf, solely to operate, provide and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, other than in backups that age out on the schedule described in the privacy policy.
We will never change this licence to permit uses beyond running the Service without asking you first, and we will never claim the right to sell your photos or use them to train an AI model.
You warrant that you own or have the right to post everything you upload, including the rights of anyone identifiable in a photo.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Porch Flock to:
- Post content you don't have the rights to, including copyrighted patterns, licensed sports/character artwork you didn't create, or another member's photos.
- Impersonate a vendor, or submit fit or measurement data you know to be false.
- Harass another member or post content that violates someone's privacy, including an identifiable photo of a person who hasn't consented.
- Attempt to interfere with the Service's operation or bypass its rate limits or security.
4. Vendors and fit data
A claimed vendor may submit and correct their own outfits' stated fit and size data. That data is stored and shown separately from measurements Porch Flock has taken directly and from what members report — we do not merge them into one number, and where they disagree, both are shown. This applies identically to outfits Porch Flock itself sells through the same vendor mechanism, with no special path or override.
We do not adjudicate counterfeit or trademark disputes between vendors. If you believe a listing infringes your rights, see §5.
5. Copyright (DMCA)
If you believe content on Porch Flock infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@porchflock.com identifying the work, the material you believe infringes it, and your contact information. We remove or disable access to material in response to valid notices under the DMCA.
6. The Service is being built
Porch Flock is an early-stage product. Features described in our product spec may not be live yet, and the Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind while it is under active development. We'll tell you here when that changes.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy §7). We may suspend or terminate an account that violates §3, with notice where practical.
